An act of selflessness
Volunteering, which is one of the seven principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, also plays a vital role in the daily work of the Luxembourg Red Cross. It is the unifying force that brings together both our staff and our volunteers around a shared human desire to respond to a need for help, assistance, and support.
Health, Social Services, Youth, and Humanitarian Aid
The Luxembourg Red Cross has approximately 1,600 volunteers of all ages, nationalities, and/or religions. Their commitment is essential to ensuring the continuity of our activities in the fields of health, social services, youth, and humanitarian aid. They perfectly embody the principle of neutrality. Furthermore, they voluntarily commit themselves, without receiving any remuneration or other tangible compensation, to serving others or the community.
Corporate Volunteerings
Are you a company looking to volunteer with your employees? Corporate volunteering offers you the opportunity to fund and lead a project to help vulnerable people.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is, above all, an altruistic act, but it is also a give-and-take commitment. Volunteers who dedicate themselves to a cause also gain satisfaction and personal fulfillment. Making a difference, finding personal satisfaction, dedicating one’s free time to others, sharing one’s experience, acquiring new skills, championing a cause, or simply wanting to do a good deed, these are all reasons why volunteers join the Red Cross..
